The main aim of NetVoucherCodes is to help consumers make money. What better time to save money than the run up to Christmas when we’re spending on everything from presents to crackers?

To capture search attention around the busy holiday period, we decided to run a campaign that helped Brits identify how much Christmas was likely to cost them this year, which products were increasing or decreasing in price, and where was the cheapest place to shop.

To do this, we analysed 24 Christmas dinner staples from 9 supermarkets in the UK and compared the current prices to those a year earlier.

The results revealed that consumers were spending 2.93% more than the year before on Christmas, outpacing the rate of inflation. Home-grown British veg saw the largest increase in prices, while cranberry sauce, stuffing mix and Bucks fizz saw the largest YoY price decreases.

The campaign featured in The Telegraph, Country and Town House, The Mirror, Metro and The Express during a very competitive period.
