During the launch of the new website, MovingPlace wanted to hit the ground running with a campaign that would increase their share of search, position them as experts in their industry and gain links in U.S. publications.

To do this, we launched the Hottest ZIP Codes campaign, a huge data study that analysed internal data of 6.3 million moves in the first half of 2025. Using this data, we were able to uncover which ZIP codes are the most popular for movers so far based on the total number of people moving to an area.

To support the campaign, we created an interactive map of the top ZIP codes, as well as a HTML table which readers could search to find the top ZIP code in their state and overall.

The campaign secured 100+ links in U.S. publications including CBS News, Quartz, This Is Money and hundreds of regional press outlets.

The campaign helped the new website climb 20 DR points after its launch and we now run a monthly report covering the top moved-to ZIP codes overall, per capita and the highest month-on-month increases for a steady flow of links.
